Network of senior PR consultants, Chapman Poole, has secured two briefs in Manchester and London to work with clients in the alcoholic drink sector.

58 Gin is a sustainable distillery based in the capital, while Alcohol Solutions – a drinks development and packing business – has been launched by the team behind the popular Three Rivers Gin.

Alcohol Solutions has entrusted Chapman Poole with the task of helping them spread the word of its drinks innovation centre “as a ‘one stop’ solution” suitable for producers of all sizes – from the artisanal and local up to the international. The company has also appointed Mojofuel to develop its new brand and digital assets.

58 Gin chose Chapman Poole following a pitch process involving eight PR agencies. The PR network will support its new product development launches – namely a premium gin-based hard seltzer in a UK first. 58 Gin is also producing a Make Your Own Gin product for the gifting market.

Chapman Poole generated awareness for 58 Gin during lockdown as it became one of the first distilleries to produce hand sanitiser in place of gin.

Carmen O’Neal, Managing Director of 58 Gin, said: “Chapman Poole have already helped us through a challenging few months and their contacts and knowledge of the drinks industry are perfectly placed to see us through our exciting phase of new product launches.”

Graham Gibson, Director of Alcohol Solutions, added: “The Chapman Poole team has significant drinks industry experience and along with its international network, is perfectly placed to help us spread the word of our new drinks innovation centre as a ‘one stop’ solution for artisan producers through to multi-nationals.”

Agatha Chapman-Poole, founder, Chapman Poole said: “During lockdown many businesses in the drinks industry have had to diversify to stay afloat, putting more emphasis on the off-trade and ‘at home’ drinking occasions and in some cases pivoting to produce a completely different product.

“It’s both a challenging and exciting time to be working in this sector and we’re really looking forward to supporting both 58 Gin and Alcohol Solutions in their new ventures.”
